ℹ️ In Morocco, mosques — including the famous Koutoubia — are not open to non-Muslims: they are admired from the outside. The Ben Youssef Madrasa, however, is no longer a place of worship: it ceased operating as a Quranic school in 1960 and is today a monument open to visitors of every faith. Respectful attire is all that's asked.

🕌 Souk and Medina

The beating heart of Marrakesh: alleys, colours, the scent of spices. A few tips: haggling is part of the game — start from about half the asking price and smile; always ask permission before photographing people; in Jemaa el-Fna square, snake charmers and animal handlers ask for money for photos; keep an eye on bags and phones in the crowd.

🏛️ Cultural sightseeing — Ben Youssef Madrasa

The Ben Youssef Madrasa is a jewel of Islamic architecture: mosaics, stuccoes and carved wood telling centuries of history.
